Dr. Munir Ravalia

He Lecturers globally on patient communication and Dental Hypnosis. He qualified in 2002 and completed training as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and during his various postings he was awarded The Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons, England.

Furthermore, he has worked in both primary and secondary care and was a clinical Lecturer at Kings College Hospital as a Specialty Doctor in Acute Dental Care. He is currently a Trust Dentist and Clinical Lecturer in Conscious Sedation at The Royal London Hospital and provides a peripatetic conscious sedation service.

Munir has been trained in acupuncture for the head and neck region and obtained a Medical Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis, which he utilises with a psychology team he leads, in hospital for patients who have severe dental anxiety and phobia. He has also completed his postgraduate training in Intra-Venous/Oral/Inhalation (gas and air) sedation at the Eastman Dental Institute.

He currently is conducting Research on the use of Pre Sedation Hypnosis in patients referred to him by other dentists who have failed to successfully have treatment under conscious sedation

Munir and Zoe are working on a pilot project of the use of VR Technology in patients referred for Extreme dental anxiety and Phobia
